Musculoskeletal MRI

Early, accurate diagnosis is critical in cost effective management of the injured athlete. Whether the injured athlete is an elite competitor, or a “weekend warrior”, delays in diagnosis can lead to prolonged recovery periods, missed work and production and resultant increased costs. MRI can be useful in this regard by rapidly directing appropriate treatment, decreasing the number of negative diagnostic arthroscopies, assessing prognosis, and assisting in surgical planning.
